The Biographical Dictionary of Georgian Athletes covers Georgians and citizens of Georgia who played an important role in the history of Georgian sport and won at least one prize in any sport competition. The Biographical Dictionary contains winners of Georgian and International competitions, including Soviet Games and Spartakiads.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of all Georgian athletes.

Biography

დაიბადა მესტიაში. ალპინისტი, მეგზური, მთამსვლელობის ინსტრუქტორი. ოქროს მედლები მოიპოვა: შხელდა-უშბის (1950), შხარა-რუსთაველი-ჯანღა-კატინთაუ-თეთნულდის (1952), პამირში დარვაზის ქედის (1957), ვერცხლის მედლები (1960) – ზულუმარტისა და იმიერალაის ქედის (პამირი) ტრავერსირებისათვის. სსრკ-ში პირველად, ჯგუფთან ერთად, განახორციელა კედლოვანი ასვლა სამხრეთ უშბაზე (1937), რითაც სათავე დაედო ამ კლასს მთამსვლელობაში. სსრკ სპორტის დამსახურებული ოსტატი.
