The Biographical Dictionary of Georgian Athletes covers Georgians and citizens of Georgia who played an important role in the history of Georgian sport and won at least one prize in any sport competition. The Biographical Dictionary contains winners of Georgian and International competitions, including Soviet Games and Spartakiads.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of all Georgian athletes.

Biography

დაიბადა სოფ. ქოლობანში (აბაშა). კალათბურთელი (210 სმ). თამაშობდა თბილისის ”ნაუკაში” და ”ბურევესტნიკ-ში” (1954-58), თბილისის ”დინამოში” (1959-72). მიწვეული იყო სსრკ ნაკრებში (1963). მსოფლიოს ჩემპიონატის მესამე პრიზიორი (1963), ევროპის ქვეყნების ჩემპიონთა თასის მფლობელი (1962), სსრკ ჩემპიონი (1968), სსრკ ჩემპიონატების ოთხგზის მეორე (1959, 60, 61, 69) და მესამე (1965) პრიზიორი, სსრკ თასის მფლობელი (1969), ღირსების ორდენის კავალერი. მისი სახელი მინიჭებული აქვს ქოლობნის საშუალო სკოლას (1999).
