The Biographical Dictionary of Georgian Athletes covers Georgians and citizens of Georgia who played an important role in the history of Georgian sport and won at least one prize in any sport competition. The Biographical Dictionary contains winners of Georgian and International competitions, including Soviet Games and Spartakiads.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of all Georgian athletes.

დაიბადა სოფელ დერჩში (წყალტუბო). ძალოსანი (60 კგ). XIX და XX ოლიმპიური თამაშების მეორე პრიზიორი. (1968, მეხიკო და 1972, მიუნხენი). მსოფლიოს ჩემპიონი (1973) და მეორე პრიზიორი (1974). მსოფლიოს ჩემპიონატში აკვრაში მოიგო მცირე ოქროს მედალი (1969). ევროპის ჩემპიონი (1972) და ოთხგზის მეორე პრიზიორი (1968, 69, 71, 74). ევროპის ჩემპიონატებში მოგებული აქვს სამი მცირე ოქროს მედალი (1972 – ატაცსა და აკვრაში, 1973 – აკვრაში). სსრკ ექვსგზის ჩემპიონი (1969-74) და ორგზის მეორე პრიზიორი (1968, 75). დამყარებული აქვს მსოფლიოს სამი რეკორდი: ორი აკვრაში – 153,5 კგ (1971), 156,0 კგ (1972) და ერთი სამჭიდში – 402,5 კგ (1972). სსრკ სპორტის დამსახურებული ოსტატი.
