დაამთავრა თბილისის ივანე ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი 1970 წელს.

საქართველოს მეცნიერებათა აკადემიის არნოლდ ჩიქობავას სახელობის ენათმეცნიერების ინსტიტუტის უფროსი მეცნიერ-თანამშრომელი.

ფილოლოგიის მეცნიერებათა კანდიდატი, სადისერტაციო თემა–"კორელაციურ ფუძეთა ისტორია ქართულში", დაიცვა 1987 წელს.
