დაბადების ადგილი: ქ. თბილისი.

დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ისტორიის ფაკულტეტი 1958 წელს.

იყო საქართველოს მეცნიერებათა აკადემიის ივ. ჯავახიშვილის სახ. ისტორიისა და ეთნოლოგიის ინსტიტუტის კავკასიის ეთნოლოგიის განყოფილების გამგე.

ეთნოლოგი, მეცნიერი, 30-მდე სამეცნიერო სტატიის ავტორი.

ისტორიის მეცნიერებათა კანდიდატი.
