The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

ეზრა მთაწმინდელი, XI საუკუნის ქართველი ჰიმნოგრაფი, ათონის ივერთა მონასტრის მოღვაწე. მას 1044 – 1074 წწ. იოანე მთაწმინდელის სახელზე შეუთხზავს საგალობელი, რომელშიაც იოანესთან ერთად შეუქია ექვთიმე მთაწმინდელი. ჰიმნოგრაფს უსარგებლია იოანესა და ექვთიმეს ”ცხოვრებით”, ამოუღია ფაქტობრივი მასალა, ცალკეული ფრაზები და მხატვრული სახეები.
