დაბადების ადგილი: ხონის რაიონი, სოფელი ქუტირი.

დაამთავრა ბათუმის საზღვაო სასწავლებელი 1947 წელს.

1948 წლიდამ მუშაობდა სახალინის საზღვაო ფლოტში კაპიტნის თანაშემწედ, შემდეგ კაპიტნად; II მსოფლიო ომის მონაწილე, შორეული ნაოსნობის კაპიტანი. მიღებული აქვს საბრძოლო და სახელმწიფო ჯილდოები.
