The dictionary is supported by the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

ბაგრატ II(ერისთავთა შორის ბაგრატ III) იყო სუმბატ კურაპალატის ძე, ბაგრატიონი, ჯერ ერისთავთერისთავი და შემდეგ ქართველთა მეფე 958–994წწ. ზედწოდება "რეგვენი", როგორც ჩანს, ტახტზე ასვლის დროს მეტისმეტი ახალგაზრდობის გამო შეერქვა. 990 წელს ბაგრატ II დავით III კურაპალატს დაეხმარა ადარბადაგანის ამირა მამლანისა და სხვა ამირების შეერთებული მხედრობის წინააღმდეგ ბრძოლაში ქალაქ ვალაშკერტთან(სომხეთი).
