The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

Biography

1796 წელს ბერად აღიკვეცა გელათის მონასტერში; 1804 წელს გახდა ჯრუჭის მონასტრის არქიმანდრიტი (წინამძღვარი); 1804 წელს არქიეპისკოპოსად აკურთხეს, მალე მიიღო მიტროპოლიტის ხარისხი; 1829 წელს დანიშნეს მიტროპოლიტად სამეგრელოში, სადაც რამდენიმე ეკლესია ააშენა; 1843 წელს თავადაზნაურობის მოთხოვნით, იმერეთის საეკლესიო საქმეებს ჩაუყენეს სათავეში, იქვე მოღვაწეობდა სიკვდილამდე.
