The Biographical Dictionary of Georgia covers biographies of people who belong to history of Georgia, who are linked with Georgia, lived in or beyond it.

The dictionary is supported by the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

ქართლ–კახეთის სამეფოს პოლიტიკური და სამხედრო მოღვაწე XVIII საუკუნის II ნახევარში, ქეშიკთუხუცესი, ბორჩალოს მოურავი(1769–1799). ერეკლე II–ის მეუღლის, ანა დედოფლის ძმა. როგორც კახეთის მკვიდრს, "კახთ აბაშიძეს" უწოდებდნენ. იყო ერეკლე II–ის პოლიტიკის ერთგული მიმდევარი. აქტიური მონაწილეობა მიიღო კრწანისის ბრძოლაში(1795). ამ ბრძოლაში მის გმირობაზე მიუთითებს ნ. ბარათაშვილი თავის პოემაში "ბედი ქართლისა".
