The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

სიმღერა-გალობა ცნობილ სასულიერო და საზოგადო მოღვაწესთან, ქართული საგალობლების ცნობილ შემკრებთან და შემსრულებელთან, პედაგოგ რაჟდენ ხუნდაძესთან შეისწავლა; 1928 წელს ივანე მარგიანმა პირველმა დააარსა სვანეთში ხალხური გუნდი, რომელმაც ფართო საზოგადოებას გააცნო სვანური სიმღერებისა და ცეკვების იშვიათი ნიმუშები; 1928 წელს გუნდმა კონცერტი გამართა მოსკოვში, სადაც მათ 14 სიმღრა ჩაწერეს გრამფირფიტაზე, ეს უნიკალური ჩანაწერები მოიძია ა. ერქომაიშვილმა; ლოტბარი, საზოგადო მოღვაწე, დეკანოზი იოანე.
