The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

მოღვაწეობდა რუსეთში; 1826 წელს მიიღო ნადვორნი სოვეტნიკის ჩინი; დ. თუმანიშვილის შემოქმედებას აშუღური პოეზიის გავლენა ეტყობა; თემატურად პოეტის ლექსები ერთფეროვანია, ძირითადია სატრფიალო მოტივი. მას დიდი დამსახურება მიუძღვის ქართული ლიტერატურის პოპულარიზაციის საქმეში. დ. თუმანიშვილმა გადანუსხა და მოკაზმა მრავალი ქართული ხელნაწერი.
