The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

ქართული ზეპირსიტყვიერების შემკრები. უპირატესად ფშაურ ლექსებს კრებდა. მის მიერ მოპოვებული მასალა ხშირად იბეჭდებოდა გაზეთ "ივერიაში", ხოლო 1887 წელს ცალკე წიგნადაც გამოვიდა სათაურით "ფშაური ლექსები". ამ კრებულისადმი მიძღვნილ რეცენზიაში ვაჟა-ფშაველამ მაღალი შეფასება მისცა მის ფოლკლორულ მოღვაწეობას. 1888 წელს მან "ივერიაში" კვლავ გამოაქვეყნა ფშაური ლექსები, "ეთერიანისა" და ხალხური ვეფხისტყაოსნის საყურადღებო ვარიანტები.
