The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

სამხრეთ საქართველოს წარჩინებული ფეოდალი XI საუკუნის ბოლოსა და XII საუკუნის დასაწყისში. ჯაყის (სამცხის ციხე) მემამულე, დავით აღმაშენებლის (1089-1125) მოხელე, ჯავახეთის გამგებელი. სავარაუდოა, რომ თუხარისის ერისთავის ბეშქენ I ჯაყელის შვილიშვილი და ყველის ერისთავის მურვან ჯაყელის შვილი იყო. დაიღუპა ჯავახეთში შემოჭრილ თურქებთან ბრძოლაში.
