დაბადების ადგილი: ქ. თელავი.

დაამთავრა კინოსტუდიის სამსახიობო ფაკულტეტი 1931 წელს.

მთავარი როლი შეასრულა რეჟისორ კოტე მიქაბერიძის ფილმში "ჰასანი". მუშაობდა ჟურნალ "ხელოვნებაში". ეწეოდა ინტენსიურ მთარგმნელობით მოღვაწეობას. ქართულად თარგმნა კუპრინის, სერვანტესის, მორავიას, იტალო კალვინის ნაწარმოებები.
