Biography

აქტიურად მონაწილეობდა სამეფო კარის საქმიანობაში, როდესაც ვახტანგი სპარსეთში გაემგზავრა, სიმონ ბატონიშვილი ქართლის გამგედ დატოვა (1712-1716). მეფე იესეს დროსაც გამგედ იყო. შემდეგ თან გაჰყვა ვახტანგ VI-ს რუსეთში, სადაც გარდაიცვალა. სიმონ ბატონიშვილის განკარგულებითა და ხარჯით თბილისში დაისტამბა ერთ-ერთი პირველი ქართული ნაბეჭდი წიგნი "კურთხევანი" (1713). ქართლის სამეფოს პოლიტიკური მოღვაწე, ვახტანგ VI-ის ძმა.
