The dictionary is supported by the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

გიორგი სააკაძის მეორე ვაჟი. მძევლად იყო ირანში შაჰ აბას I-ის კარზე. 1625 წელს, ქართლ-კახეთში აჯანყების დაწყების შემდეგ, შაჰის ბრძანებით თავი მოჰკვეთეს და მამას გაუგზავნეს საქართველოში, ტანი კი კათოლიკე მისიონერებს დაუსაფლავებიათ ისპაანში. მოგვიანებით გიორგი სააკაძემ თბილისელი ვაჭრების დახმარებით ფარულად ჩამოასვენა საქართველოში და საგვარეულო მონასტერში, ერთაწმინდაში, დაკრძალა.
