Biography

ვახუშტი ლომკაცის ძე ჩიჯავაძე იყო იმერეთის სამეფოს სახელმწიფო მოღვაწე, მდივანბეგი. ხონის მთავარეპისკოპოს ანტონ ჩიჯავაძის ძმა. დაახლოებული იყო მეფე სოლომონ II-თან, რომელმაც ვახუშტი ჩიჯავაძეს მდივანბეგობა უბოძა და ჩიჯავაძეთა საგვარეულოს დაკარგული მამულების ნაწილი აღუდგინა. დაქორწინებული იყო დადიანის ასულ მარიამზე, რომელიც სოლომონ II-ის მეუღლის, მარიამ დადიანის ახლო ნათესავი იყო. ჰყავდა სამი ვაჟი: ვახტანგი, ნიკოლოზი, გიორგი და ორი ქალიშვილი. ვახუშტი ჩიჯავაძე ყოფილა წიგნიერი, კანონმთცოდნეობის საქმეში ფრიად გაწაფული მოღვაწე.
