The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

აკა/აკესი – კოლხეთის (ეგრისის) ჰიპოთეტური მეფე ძვ.წ. II ს. 90-იან წლებში. წერილობით წყაროებში მასზე არაფერია ნათქვამი, სამაგიეროდ ჩვენამდე მოაღწია მისი სახელით მოჭრილმა ოქროს ორმა სტატერმა, ლისიმაქეს ტიპის სტატერების იმიტაციამ. ეს მონეტები ისტორიული კოლხეთის ტერიტორიაზეა მიკვლეული. აკას შესახებ ერთი რამ უეჭველია – თუ ფულის ტიპოლოგია ელინურია, ქვეყანაც სწორედ ელინურ სამყაროსთანაა ინტეგრირებული.
