The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

ექიმი-კარდიოლოგი, 1991 წელს რუსთაველის გამზირზე თავი დაიწვა სამოქალაქო დაპირისპირებისადმი პროტესტის ნიშნად. "თუ საქართველოს გაერთიანებას მსხვერპლი სჭირდება, დე, მე ვიყო იგი, ოღონდ უკანასკნელი" - წერია მის მიერ დანატოვარ ბარათში. გია აბესაძის დაკრძალვის დღე პრეზიდენტმა ზვიად გამსახურდიამ ეროვნული გლოვის დღედ გამოაცხადა; მისი სახელი მიენიჭა ისტორიულ ქუჩას ძველ თბილისში.
