The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

დაამთავრა თბილისის პედაგოგიური ინსტიტუტის ისტორიულ-ფილოლოგიური განყოფილება.

1960 წლიდან ცხოვრობდა ქალაქ ლენინგრადში; გერმანიკული, სლავური და რომანული ენების ცოდნა მას საშუალებას აძლევდა ეთარგმნა სხვადასხვა ენიდან (გერმანული, ფრანგული, ინგლისური, იტალიური, ჩეხური) და ცნობილია ასევე მისი კომენტარები წიგნისათვის «მსოფლიო კულტურის ძეგლები»; ის იყო ანტიკური ხანის სპეციალისტი.
