The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

მსახურობდა სვანეთში, შემდეგ ცხოვრობდა და მუშაობდა თბილისში; ლექსებს ბეჭდავდა "კოლხიდაში", "განათლებაში", "თემში", "სახალხო გაზეთში" და სხვა და აქვეყნებდა ფსევდონიმებით - ა. სვანი, ა. სვანელი; თარგმნიდა რუს პოეტთა ნაწარმოებებს; წერდა ისტორიულ-ეთნოგრაფიულ წერილებს; აკაკი მარგიანს "ზვიად სვანს" უწოდებდნენ თურმე.
