დაამთავრა იაკობ გოგებაშვილის სახელობის თელავის პედაგოგიური ინსტიტუტის ისტორია-ფილოლოგიის ფაკულტეტი.

ბავშვობა გაატარა სოფელ კალაურში (გურჯაანი). სწავლობდა თბილისში, თეატრალურ სტუდიაში; პირველი ლექსი დაწერა ათი წლის ასაკში და მას დადებითი შეფასება მისცა თვით იოსებ ნონეშვილმა.
