The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

დიმიტრი თომას (თამაზის) ძე ორბელიანი - 1832 წლის შეთქმულების მონაწილე, მაგრამ ვერ დაუმტკიცეს და გაათავისუფლეს. რუსეთ-თურქეთის, რუსეთ-ირანის და ყირიმის ომის მონაწილე; ირიცხებოდა კავკასიის ცალკეულ კორპუსში, იყო აღმოსავლეთ საქართველოს თავადაზნაურთა მესამე მარშალი (1839-1854) და თბილისის გუბერნიის თავადაზნაურობის წინამძღოლი 1839-1855 წლებში. გენერალ-ლეიტენანტი.
