დაამთავრა ქუთაისის პედაგოგიური ინსტიტუტი 1964 წელს.

ქუთაისის უნივერსიტეტის საქართველოს ისტორიის კათედრის დოცენტი.

ისტორიის მეცნიერებათა კანდიდატი, სადისერტაციო თემა–"საქველმოქმედო საზოგადოებანი დასავლეთ საქართველოში (XIX ს. 70-იანი XX ს.10-იანი წლები)", დაიცვა 1993 წელს.
