დაამთავრა ივანე ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი 1967 წელს აღმოსავლეთმცოდნეობის ფაკულტეტი ფილოლოგის სპეციალობით.

1971–1973წწ. მუშაობდა ხაშურის რაიონის რადიოკვანძის რედაქტორად , საბავშვო ბაღის გამგედ, ცეკავშირის N17 სათაო მაღაზიის დირექტორად. აღმოსავლეთმცოდნე.
