The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

კათოლიკოსად ქართლის მეფე ერეკლე I-მა დააყენა, როგორც თავისი ნათესავი და პოლიტიკის მომხრე; 1705 წელს ვახტანგ VI-ის ინიციატივით, რომელსაც თავისი ეროვნული პოლიტიკის თანამოაზრე ეკლესიის მესაჭე ესაჭიროებოდა, საეკლესიო კრებამ ევდემოზ II გადააყენა და მის ნაცვლად აირჩია ვახტანგ VI-ის ძმა დამიანე ბაგრატიონი (საეკლესიო ტახტზე დომენტი IV).
