The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

Biography

აფხაზეთის (დასავლეთ საქართველოს) კათოლიკოს-პარტიარქი 1669-1673 წლებში. ძირითადად იმერეთში ცხოვრობდა. 1672 წელს იმყოფებოდა ოდიშის მთავარ ლევან III დადიანის კარზე, სადაც შეხვდა ფრანგ მოგზაურს ჟან შარდენს. წერილში, რომელიც ბაგრატ IV-მ (1669) გაუგზავნა რუსეთის მეფეს-ალექსი მიხეილის ძეს, იმერეთის სამეფოს თავკაცთა შორის იხსენიება როგორც "საქართველოს მაკურთხეველი კათალიკოზი".
