The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

აგროვებდა სალექსიკონო მასალებს და ძველი ქართული ხელნაწერების კოლექციებს. 1818-1819 წლებში თბილისის სასულიერო სემინარიაში ასწავლიდა ქართულ ენას. შეადგინა ქართული ენის გრამატიკა, რომელიც პირველად დაიბეჭდა 1817-1818 წლებში, მეორედ 1826 წელს. გრამატიკა შედგება ეტიმოლოგიის (მორფოლოგია), სინტაქსისა და ორთოგრაფიისაგან. ქართველი გრამატიკოსი.
