The dictionary is supported by the National Library of Georgia.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of outstanding Georgians. We hope that whole Georgia will be involved in filling this unique dictionary.

Biography

ქართველი მწიგნობარი, მთარგმნელი. მოღვაწეობდა მოსკოვში, არჩილ II-ის კარზე, სადაც 1692-1706წწ. ბერძნულიდან ქართულ ენაზე გადმოიღო "ხრონოღრაფი" ანუ მსოფლიო ისტორია დასაბამიდან კონსტანტინოპოლის დაცემამდე (1453 წლამდე). 1706 წელს არჩილ მეფემ იგი გაგზავნა შვედებთან ომში ტყვედ ჩავარდნილ ბატონიშვილ ალექსანდრესთან სტოკჰოლმში.
