დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ჟურნალისტიკის ფაკულტეტი 1960 წელს.

1960 წლიდან მუშაობდა გაზეთ "თბილისის" რედაქციაში, შემდგომ იყო გაზეთ "თბილისის" საქალაქო პრობლემატიკის განყოფილების გამგე.
