In the novel "Elgudja" by A. Kazbegi is depicted the oldest ritual, preserved in Khevi, where the synchronic and ritual-mourning procession of men with "whips" is given. This note is unique by itself and represents one of the reliable and indisputable sources for researches of the Georgian ethno-culture.
In our opinition the episode, illustrated in the novel,bears precisely expressed choreographic character and we could regard it as the ancient pagan ritual connected with "the cult of dead".
