The Moral-Ethical Prblem of Artificial Abortion

Except for medical problems, artificial abortion is associated with complex religious, moral and juridical problems. In discussion about abortion two basic values of bioethics contradict: the mother right to choose whether to have a child or not and embryo’s right to live and not to die.

Regarding basic principles of bioethics, a woman should has a right to make abortion, if pregnancy: a) endangers her life, b) is a result of rape or incest, c) embryo is characterised by defects, incompatible with life. In the same time woman should be aware, that abortion destroys an innocent life and is a heavy sin. Biological, "calendar" and "rhythmic" methods avoid undesirable pregnancy.
