The dynamics of the development of Balanus improvisus in 1955-2001 years has been considered. It has been noted, that colonizer dominates in periphyton and is mainly spread on the shell grounds. During last 10 years the number and biomass of Balanus improvisus in the west sea-shores considerably decreased, that is connected with the changes of environment.
