The article discusses a research method and projects method that are used in the process of teaching disciplines of economic management by the author.
A research method helps students to ask questions about certain event or human (e.g. manager) behavior and search their answers by means of careful analyze and research. This process makes audience to be actively integrated in educational work.
Projects method calls for stimulation of students' interest towards crucial problems, making ways for solving problems and showing directions of practical use of obtained knowledge by means of a specific project. This is the way from theory to practice, or unification of academic knowledge with pragmatic one.
The author uses mentioned methods together with a case-study method in teaching such disciplines of administrative nature as: management theory, theory of organization and management of production, management, sustainable economic development management, theological basis of management, and legal basis of management, management of church and monastery economy, environmental management, management of personnel.
Use of modern and traditional methods ensures radical improvement of teaching economic and administrative disciplines. In this case, instead of carrier and transferor of knowledge, the lecturer plays a role of an organizer of creative activity of students. Accordingly, psychological, ethical and esthetical climate changes in the audience that becomes an arena for mutual creative work.
General introduction of such methods will significantly promote radical improvement of economic education in Georgia.
