The Principals of Memoirs Portrait-Painting

(The Personalities of I. Bunin and Merezhkovski's Conjugality in Memoirs of "Russian Foreign Country")

In Russian emigration existed the clear separation of literary generations by the principle of "fathers" and "children". I. Bunin and Merezhkovski's conjugality by true "young monparnasists" mind are the "father's generation". In memoirs "of emigration their memoirs portraits have the stamp of this separating.

I. Bunin was understood by the memoirists of young generation (V. Janovski, N. Berberova) like the representative of Russian literature, of the epoch "between Turgenev and Tchekhov". The memoirists underline his deafness to modern art, some elements of behavior's model, Semiotically characterizing him as the representative of deep past of Russian culture mind, they underline the specific terribly of oblivion in the history of Russian culture, whose bearer was Bunin.

By the memoirs author's mind, Bunin stands on the opposite side from the young emigrant's generation. They also opened the very important theme - the theme of there generation.

Bunin's personality was the starting point in comparison of two generations, and the collisions of his biography opened the collisions of memoirs auto personality.

Merezhkovski's conjugality, whose images were described by memoirists of emigration, are described as one substation, which is characterized as "The Silver age". In their images the authors underline the characteristic of "Silver age "Through this description in undercurrent of memoirs we can find the mind about the succession and difference between the young creative emigrant's personality and the creators of epoch of Silver age in Russian literature.
