Teimuraz Bagrationi (1782-1846) – writer and scholar, one of the first researchers of Georgian spiritual culture was the founder of Kartvelological school in Petersburg. Some of his works in form of traveler's memoirs: "My journey to different and different places of Europe" and "Persian diary" has reached us. His untitled diary that scholar called "Journey from Tbilisi to Petersburg" is being kept in Petersburg. The work gives interesting information about Petersburg, Tsarskoe-Selo, Petergof and other Russian cities of that time, and composes material that deserves significant attention in order to study Georgian-Russian literary relationships.
