The language situation in Karachai-Cherkessian Republic demands urgent development of documents on protection and development of languages of the native people of the republic, carrying out of actions on a rising of prestige of the native language and increase of a level of national consciousness of carriers of languages. Stabilization of a language situation will allow solving problems of development of the theory of language norm and the Karachai-Balkarian literary language.
