The poem "The Knight in the Panther's Skin" had been considered as one of the most important study books for centuries. Popularity of the poem was accompanied by the development of sciences studying this poem and namely by methodological sciences. Thus, this poem became an object of systematic methodological consideration and scrutiny. This is proved by the editions of the 19th century and certain publications of polemic character. There was a disputable issue as to from what age, that is, in what classes this poem was to be studied in the form of prose or poetry created by the writer. School reform will still make the teachers think how to teach the samples of old literary works, including "The Knight in the Panther's Skin".
