From the Activity of Aleksandre Batonishvili

The article deals with correspondence (1813-1815) of the leader of liberation movement of Georgia in the beginning XIX of century - Alexandre Batonishvili.

On the basis of his letters sent into the different parts of Caucasus, is shown how Alexandre used created international situation of the beginning of the 19th century for realization of his plans.

In the correspondence of Alexandre the special attention is given to realization of measures for the subsequent military plans. The propaganda methods are carefully worked, for example: reading of the appeal by the skilled reader, appeal to formation of the battle groups in Pshavi, Khevsureti etc.

On the basis of the analysis of the various documents it is possible to conclude, that the attitude of the population to Alexandre was especially respectful. The people perceived him as hero.

The article considered also unknown letters, appeals granted letters and other items of information having a big importance for research of the life and activity of the leader of liberation movement of Georgia.
