The Suez's question in international relations of European Countries in XIX century

In the end of 1875 thanks to Benjamin Disraeli, England in a very low price bought 40 % of total amount of Suez Canal stocks, which belonged to Egypt ruler Khedive Ismail pasha.

"Joint Stock Company of Suez Canal" was the great international association, which had the residence in Paris, however its administrative board was presented by French, English and American capitals. The stocks of the company were distributed in that way that decisive role in its activity always belonged to England. B. Disraeli used needy financial state of Khedive and subordinated this significant international water artery - Suez Canal to English control. Since ruling of Disraeli Suez Canal always was under strict control of England. Some of European diplomats this fact considered as a start of the new epoch in English politic, particular in the Middle East, in the Persian Gulf, towards Red Sea and Indian Ocean for further promotion of Great Britain.
