From the beginning of the 19th century, the inhabitants of Tskhinvali region often asked to Russian government to open the schools in the region, but government was absolutely passive on such case.
In spite of such kind of condition, it was impossible to stub the necessity of education out of people's consciousness. Very soon the foundation for opening the first schools got ready. When we say first school we mean 1881, but we should mention that Ana Amilakhvari opened boarding -school even in 1875.
Tskhinvalian's aspiration for education was not stopped in the following period.
