Adjective Quasi-Composites in the German Language

In the article it is illustrated such problem in German word-formation as adjective quasi-composites. Quasi-composites are considered to be the composites with an affixed. Adjective quasi-composites play a great role in the richening of the vocabulary of the German language and occupy quite a large place aside to the simplexes, composites and derivates.

The various word-formative meanings of adjective quasi-composites are characterized in the article. Namely, between them there is distinguished the semes expressing emphasis, negative evaluation, existence/non-existence, ability, correspondence, inclination, as well as temporal semes.

Because of the many-sided use of adjective quasi-composites their study is a very important and urgent matter. This is the actuality of the theme and the expediency of the publication of the article.
