The work presents the analysis of the genre of unfinished works "Beau-monde of Georgia" and "The Wheel of Life" by A. Qazbegi. The history of studing of novels and literary theorists points of view on stories are also presented.Thus it is substantiated that "Beau-monde of Georgia" and "The Wheel of Life" are unfinished novel.
