The present paper deals with complicated censorial atmosphere in the magazine "Tsiskari", published in Tbilisi in the second half of the 19^th century. The author specifies and analyses the verse "The Song" ("To the Old Kingdom") by Akaki Tsereteli. A censorial wording of this verse caused non-objective evaluation of the first attempts of the poet's initial verses.
