In the beginning of the 20th century, demographic expansion of non-Georgian population gains wider disposition in Georgia. Especially, Armenians became active. In 1915-1916 years, on the premise of Armenian depopulation in Turkey, a huge flow of Armenian refugees entered again in Georgia. Their aim was to settle here and to get hold of Georgian historical territories. In such Armenian aspiration, the leading role had "Dashnaktsutsuni's" party. That's why restoring Georgian state independence turned out to be in acceptable for them. Yet, in October of 1918, they tried their forces. Without declaring a war, all of a sudden, Armenian armed forces attacked by surprise on our country and occupied certain part of the territory in Kvemo Kartli.

In the result of the measures taken by Georgian authority, had stopped to stop war actions. But Armenians continued to find the cause to begin the war and key finally succeeded.
