In clause the history of formation of the Society on liquidation of illiteracy is discussed. In clause struggle of the Georgian intelligence for formation of this society and the precondition which have caused its formation also is reflected. In the given work activity of this society in one of the most beautiful part of Georgia - Adjara is considered.
