Shackled Immortality of Amiran

Akaki Tsereteli holds an important place in history of Georgian literature and social thinking. Together with Ilya Chavchavadze Ak. Tsereteli was the leader of national-liberation movement of the second half of the nineteenth century. He was the well-deserved representative of the Georgian representatives of 60th, who carried out severe fight against reaction, colonial politics, darkness, condition without ideas and were clearly preaching about progressive ideas in social life and literature.

Ak. Tsereteli, as a "hooter" of everyday life, served for every event of Georgian reality of the second half of the 19th century, expressing belief and aspiration of Georgia in his creativity, he deeply believed in its bright future. Whole his creation was devoted to the modern inquires of that period. Ak. Tsereteli has been implementing in Georgian people understanding of necessity of constant promotion, feeling of love towards the nation and home country. But the desire of the writer was common to all mankind: "Whole happiness of every nation … who does not serve for its little nation he will not be necessary for mankind too. Even the World is expressed in service of its country".
