P. Zavileiski in Georgia

The plotters of 1832 tried to use in their work the foreigners who lived in Tbilisi, especially, the Poles. There also were the Poles who worked in the Russian tsarism bureaucratic apparatus and had the leading positions. One of them was the former governor of Georgia in 1829-1831, Piotr Zavileiski. He had the tight contacts with the heads of the plotters.

The article talks about the friendship of P. Zavileiski and Al. Chavchavadze.
