The paper deals with one of the ancient monuments of ascetic-mystic literature "Liber Perfection" by the Bishop of the Bet-Garmai Diocese Martyrius Sahdona, a renowned ecclessiastic personality living in the 7^th century. This work has been preserved in the only, unique Syrian manuscript S 4116, which is now at Strasbourg University. The study of Martyrius Sahdona's activities and research in his work has a special significance from the viewpoint of studying ancient Georgian literature, namely the ascetic-mystical works, because the old Georgian translation of Martyrius - Sahdona's work "Liber Perfection" in present in many old Georgian manuscripts, which is a very important fact bearing witness to the existence of Georgian Syrian lit-erary links.
